Philadelphia-Area HVAC Contractor Lands a Lead Installer in About a Week

HVAC & Mechanical Bensalem, PA Philadelphia-Area HVAC Contractor
RESULT 1 Lead HVAC Installer Hired in About a Week

Growing an install operation means you need lead techs before you need them. My Trade Talent keeps building relationships with qualified HVAC installers between searches, so when a seat opens we are not starting from zero.

Not an Entry-Level Seat

A family-owned residential and light-commercial HVAC contractor outside Philadelphia was building out a second install crew. To get there, they needed a Lead HVAC Installer who could run jobs on their own, own the indoor tie-in and startup process, and mentor an install helper. They were clear this was not an entry-level seat: five-plus years of installation experience, lead-level accountability, light commercial exposure and working boiler knowledge.

Going Back to a Relationship We Already Had

We did not have to start cold. Our recruiters had first brought this candidate into the pipeline in mid-August for a more junior install-helper opening with the same client, and had already completed a phone screen. When the lead installer role opened in early October, we went straight back to that relationship. The candidate went from renewed contact to hire in about a week.

A Vetted Lead Installer, No Lost Tempo

The new lead installer has been in HVAC since 2013, working up from installation apprentice through journeyman roles to a Lead HVAC Installer title. Their background covers rooftop units, chillers, cooling towers, boilers and residential systems, backed by a diploma in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Heating and EPA Universal Certification. That lined up directly with the boiler knowledge and lead experience the client asked for. The placement was finalized on October 12, 2026, and the client kept its crew-expansion plans on schedule.
