Comparing options
How does this compare to using a contingency recruiter?+
- Pricing: Flat monthly rate vs. 20-30% of first-year salary
- Pipeline: Continuous and built ahead of demand vs. starts at zero each search
- Commitment: Recruiter is engaged whether you're hiring or not vs. engagement ends with the placement
- Specialization: Trades-only vs. generalist
- Time to fill: Often days to weeks vs. 30-90+ days
How does this compare to in-house recruiting?+
Should we use both you and a contingency recruiter?+
What if we just want to fill one role and don't need an ongoing partnership?+
If the problem is the invoice, not the total.
Budget timing is a different problem from price. The same engagement can run as pay as you go: a $1,500 monthly retainer while the search is open (separate from the Talent Pipeline subscription, which starts at $4,000 a month), credited in full against the fee when we place someone. You pay whichever is greater - the agreed fee, or the months already paid - so up to the break-even month it is a smaller bill at hire, and past it the monthly payments have already covered more than the fee.
Every hire from zero is a tax on your team.
Every week a seat sits open, the rest of your people are covering for it. Every contingency fee you pay is money that didn't go toward growth. There's a better model. Let's build your pipeline.
