The Hiring Manager Command Center.

Use it whether or not you ever hire us. It is built from the role, pay and credential data behind our own searches, and every figure names where it comes from.

About the Command Center.
What is the Hiring Manager Command Center?
The Hiring Manager Command Center is My Trade Talent's free toolkit for contractors hiring in 20 commercial trades: a hiring kit for each trade, an interview question bank, a scorecard builder, a credential check and an offer calculator, with no sign-up in front of any of them.
Is the Hiring Manager Command Center free, and do I have to sign up?
Yes, it is free, and no. Every kit and tool on these pages opens without a form. The downloadable PDF guides each kit links to keep their short download form; nothing in the Command Center itself is gated.
Which trades does the Command Center cover?
20 commercial trades, each with its own hiring kit: HVAC & Mechanical, Commercial Construction, Commercial Electrical, Commercial Plumbing, Commercial Roofing, Fire Protection, Paving & Asphalt, Commercial Landscaping, Commercial Painting, Commercial Flooring, Commercial Cleaning & Facilities, Welding & Fabrication, Masonry & Concrete, Physical Security, Insulation, Commercial Pest Control, Elevator Maintenance, LED & Solar, Commercial Trucking and Commercial Irrigation.
Where do the interview questions come from?
From My Trade Talent's role profiles: three technical screening questions for each of the 56 roles we recruit, written to expose the difference between a strong candidate and a plausible one, alongside the signals to listen for and the hiring mistake each seat invites. They carry no statistics.
How long does a commercial trades hire take?
My Trade Talent's median commercial trades hire took 21 days across 88 searches closed in 2026 year to date, counted as calendar days from our first contact with the candidate to the hire. That clock starts when we reach the candidate, not when the requisition opened, so it is not a time-to-fill benchmark.
What does it cost if I want My Trade Talent to run the search?
My Trade Talent's Talent Pipeline subscription starts at $4,000 a month on a 12-month term ($4,250 on the six-month minimum), with no placement fee. Pay-as-you-go is a separate product for a single search: 15% of first-year salary with an $8,000 minimum, and a $1,500 monthly retainer while the search runs that is credited in full against that fee. The $1,500 is the pay-as-you-go retainer, not the subscription price.
