How to read this
The range above is base salary at the experience level and region you picked. To translate it into a real offer or a real hire, layer these factors on top:
- Credentials. A NATE-certified HVAC tech, NICET III fire alarm designer, or master electrician commands a premium. The relevant credential for the role you picked is listed in the result card.
- Overtime + on-call. Service techs and field crews often earn 15-30% above base via overtime and on-call rotations. Salaried roles don't see that bump.
- Bonus + profit share. PMs, branch managers, and outside sales reps typically have variable comp tied to billable hours, project margin, or revenue. The range above is base only.
- Major-metro vs. tertiary market. Within a region, major metros (LA, NYC, Chicago, Houston) sit at the top of the range. Tertiary markets sit at the lower end.
