Fire Alarm / Sprinkler Designer vs Fire Alarm Technician.
Design happens before the install. The designer produces the layout and the submittal package the authority having jurisdiction approves, so the credential is NICET III-IV rather than the I-II a technician starts at, and the screen is code fluency rather than field speed. Our band for this seat is higher than the technician band at both ends.
