Commercial Pest Control licensing in Nebraska.

Nebraska certifies applicators as Commercial, Non-Commercial or Private, with the commercial license required for anyone making applications for hire, including general use structural work. Category 08 is Structural and Health-Related Pest Control, category 08W is Wood Destroying Organisms covering termites, carpenter ants and mold, and category 11 is Structural and Non-Soil Fumigation. Commercial applicants must pass a general standards exam plus at least one category exam with a minimum score of 70 percent, and the commercial license runs three years, renewed by retesting or by attending University of Nebraska training. Verify that 08W is on the license for any termite or wood-destroying organism role, since category 08 alone does not cover it. Governed by the Nebraska Pesticide Act. The Omaha metro crosses a state line, so check the rules in the neighboring state too for crews that work on both sides.

Licensing authority: Nebraska Department of Agriculture, Pesticide Program. Confirm current rules with the agency.
